Red, White and Brew

The summer is in full blast right now & we have to admit we went a little crazy with the Rose wines this year.  At last count there were close to 15 of them from various countries — which is a lot considering this is a tiny store!  At any rate - they have been a HUGE hit.  They are so perfect for the summer — and for those of you who think they’re like White Zin — think again & get off your sassy horse!  (this reminds me of a quick story . . . when we first opened the Mt Holly location I had a sign in the front window that touted the virtues of Rose wines and some jackass came in the store and said to me “you’ll never be taken seriously as a wine shop with that in your window” — what a jerk.  obviously he has no idea what a real rose is like)  Rose wines are nothing like White Zinfandel — they’re dry with flavors of berries — strawberries, raspberries, etc — but there’s nothing sticky sweet about them.
